Arapaho Basin Ski Resort

The legendary Arapahoe Basin has been providing Colorado skiers and winter vacationers with some of the Rocky Mountains' finest skiing for over 60 years. What makes Arapaho Basin a legend is the highest skiable terrain in North America.

Over 250,000 visitors come to A-Basin to experience the fresh, powder snow (367 inches annually) and over sixty world class runs and trails that cater to all levels of skiing on the 13,050 foot mountain. Half of the mountain is above the timberline. Arapaho presents skiers with the best open bowl skiing and snowboarding that Colorado has to offer.

One of Arapaho Basin's signature runs, Pallavicini, is one of Colorado's longest and steepest trails. A-Basin also offers Colorado's longest ski season with many skiers coming to the resort to ski the 4th of July. So many people are flocking to the Basin that you know this is one of Colorado's premier ski areas.

Arapaho Basin is waiting for you sixty-eight miles west of Denver in the beautiful Summit County, the winter playground of Colorado. The 490 skiable acres provide 69 trails of which 15% are beginners, 45% intermediate, 20% advanced, and 20% expert runs. The longest run spans 1.5 miles. Two triple chairlifts, three double chairlifts, and a conveyor lift accompany A-basins trails to get you to the slopes for a day's skiing.

The Legends Cafe, located at the foot of the mountain, serves breakfasts and lunches for skiers and other visitors. While the Sixth Alley Bar, offers libations and snacks during and after the day on the slopes. Arapahoe Sports has everything for skiing the Basin, including ski, snowboard, and clothing rentals.

Snowboarding lessons are available starting with kids, ages 8 years old. Arapaho Basin caters to families and provide affordable lift tickets to ensure that you will bring the whole family.

Arapahoe Basin does not offer lodging at the base of the ski area but lodging and other accommodations can be found within five miles of the mountain. Arapaho Basin may not be the biggest ski resort, nor the most luxurious, but you will find that the skiing is some of the best in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. In fact, the great skiing, low lift ticket prices, the relaxed mountain atmosphere, and the Basin's close proximity to the Denver make Arapaho Basin a popular ski destination for serious skiers and the whole family.
